The main purpose of SpywareBlaster is to block Active X based malware from
getting onto a Windows computer. Since Firefox doesn't use Active X, this
type of protection isn't needed.
SpywareBlaster can also block tracking cookies from being installed via IE
or Firefox. If you are concerned about this type of cookie you may want to
install SpywareBlaster. I prefer to set Firefox to clear all of its cookies
when the browser closes.

you should do what you feel is best for you. Also, having SpywareBlaster
running while using Firefox is in my opinion the unnecessary use of computer
resources.

use of computer resources." SpywareBlaster does *NOT* need to be
running to do its job, period.
Download it, install it, run it, update it, enable it, and CLOSE/EXIT
it. SpywareBlaster only needs to run for updates and changes. That's
it.
You're-welcome, as it was apparent based on your post that youThank-you for instructing me on how to use a program that I already know how
to use.
I did.I merely assumed that it must be using some resources to do its job. You may
correct me if this assumption is incorrect.

Spyware Blaster does not run in the background. It sets a number ofYes.
I feel more secure letting a password manager (I am using Roboform Pro) do
the job of storing my passwords and signing me into websites, than letting a
browser do it for me. That's just my opinion. If you feel otherwise, then
you should do what you feel is best for you. Also, having SpywareBlaster

You're-welcome, as it was apparent based on your post that you
didn't, at least that's the impression I got. And, since many new
users read these newsgroups everyday I thought it best to correct that
information before someone got the wrong idea about actually needing
to run SpywareBlaster continuously from it.
I did.
