Spybot and Addaware updates

Does anyone know why there's been no updates for Spybot and Adaware for
months now? I keep getting "no updates available" every week now before I
run these programs. Comments... suggestions... ?

My latest update from AdAware was downloaded a few minutes ago...after
a lot of other ones the past months.

definition file SE1R61 of aug 10 2005

Latest update SpybotSD was also this month :-)

Be carefull: if you don't have a working internet connection (for
whatever reason) Spybot tells you, that there are no updates!
While indeed, it cannot access any update :-)

The versions of those programs which you're using may be too old. Check
to see if there are newer versions and upgrade to them, then try update
again.

You likely have blocked these programs at your firewall and they can't get
the updates.

Then why am I getting *no updates available* from BOTH of them? I've been
using them for several years without a problem.

I do have a working connection. That's why my posts show up here. :o)

OK. I'll see if I can find newer versions. I didn't get any messages to
update what I have. I have Adaware 6.0 and Spybot 1.2 . Odd that they
expect you to know to update the whole program when you get the "no
available update" message. Gosh, we're not mind readers. :-(

No, it's not my firewall as they both have allowance as Access and Server.
I even tried with my ZoneAlarm shut off and I still get "No updates
available" so it's not my firewall.

You may need to download newest version of them.
I experienced this with AVG.

AdAware have a message about upgrading to version 6, but it's not obvious.
