when I start up xp pro just before I pick the user button
a msg block comes up with the above in the blue title area
follwed by "entry port not found"

In the message space: The procedure entry Point GETIUMS
could not be located in the dynamic link library
MSDART.dll.

How do I get rid of this msg.

Bill;
wkscal.exe = Microsoft® Works Calendar
Name: msdart.dll
Description: Microsoft Data Access - OLE DB Runtime Routines

Apparently you have your Works Calendar set to start
when you boot or have a reminder set. Maybe you need to disable it.

[[When you set a reminder for an appointment (a meeting that takes place
within a specific time of day), the reminder appears on your screen at the
time you determine. You can close the dialog box that contains the reminder,
but the reminder remains in the dialog box until you delete the reminder
itself. You can view the list to see which appointments you have outstanding
reminders for, and then remove the reminder from the list when you no longer
need it.
1) On the View menu, click Reminders.
2) Click the reminder you want to delete, and then click Dismiss Item.]]

thanks for answer.
