Most of the time my Windows XP is very slow. I see the
drive light on constantly when my pc is not doing
anything. I have checked the system for spyware and
viruses. The system is clean. When I end the SPOOLSV.EXE
process, things run fine. I found a Knowledge Base
article about the problem (kb835318) This refered to a
hotfix that contains the win32spl.dll and winspool.drv
dated 1/26/2004, but I can not get these files. How do I
get these files to beable to apply them on my computer?

To obtain the files (directly quoted from KB835318):

"contact Microsoft Product Support Services to obtain the
hotfix".

And as written in KB835318:

"Note: In special cases, charges that are ordinarily incurred for
support calls may be canceled if a Microsoft Support Professional
determines that a specific update will resolve your problem."

And as written in KB835318:

"The usual support costs will apply to additional support
questions and issues that do not qualify for the specific update
in question".

READ all of this as saying:

Contact Microsoft Product Support Services. Describe your
symptoms as they are described in the Microsoft Knowledge Base
Article. And do not add any other questions, symptoms, problems,
request, issues, etc.
