Hi,

There have an HP LaserJet 2200d which is shared on our LAN. Each time
clients send non-English documents to this printer, an error causes on the
spooler and the printing is canceled. There is no problem for English
documents. Also, when I manage the windows to send the document to the
printer without printing, everything is ok. There are enough memory for
spooling (at least 5GB). And restarting the print spool service in not
effective. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Mehrdad

It sounds like a flawed printer driver ... first course would be to
check vendor's web site and see if an updated printer driver available.

Thank you for your answer. I installed the last updated driver from
www.microsoft.com. I shared this printer for at least 1 year and there was
no problem during this time. I don't know exactly when this problem starts.
some days ago I installed Microsoft Office 2003. I don't know the problem is
occurred because of Office 2003 or not. The clients use Microsoft Windows XP
and Office XP. Also, there is no problem from the local computer.

Thank you,

Since it's an HP Printer, you should have downloaded the driver from
www.hp.com, (Hewlett Packard), not Microsoft. and it could be that an
update for Windows XP or Office 2003 is now available from them.

Printing is controlled by printer drivers. Most printer problems are
due to printer driver problems. Sometimes they are just buggy and the
vendor doesn't fix or provide updates. Then you have to improvise.

You say the problem is with non-English documents. Are the fonts used
for these documents different than used in English documents? If yes,
maybe the fonts for printing are corrupted. Do the documents display ok
in Print Preview mode?

Something has broken printing. Maybe it is Office 2003. It's only days
old and surely has bugs to be discovered. Suggest you re-ask this
question on the newgroups dedicated to Office 2003.
