Spliting information in a cell

Highlight the column containing the data the go to Data>Text to Columns.
This will bring up a wizard that will help you segregate the data. On the
first screen, make sure Delimited is selected then click Next. Choose a
delimiter based on what separates the first and last names (assuming a
space, select the box next to Other and type a single space in the box next
to it). The window at the bottom will give you a preview of what the data
will look like after applying your criteria. Click finish and you're all
done.

I have a column of names that we imported from an old DOS system into

Excel. The column contains both first and last name. I want to seperate the
first name and last name and put them in their own column. Is there a
formula i can use?

Jennifer, use the Text to Columns command on the Data menu. It's very
