I installed Excel 2003 on my new computer - I cannot remember how to by pass
the 'splash screen' when opening the program. I believe an "-e" is needed
somewhere - I cannot remember where. MY OS in Win XP Home SP2

TIA
Bill

I had to put -turbo after the last " on my Netscape shortcut. Like
this
"C:\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape Browser\netscape.exe" -turbo

Hey it's worth a try...nothing to loose

Bobby

Bobby,

-turbo didn't work - but you reminded me where the -e went - right after the
last " - thanks

Bill

try
Start -> Run -> type "Excel /e" without the quotes (")

if that work as is, then you need to create a new shortcut : go to your
desktop, righ-click somewhere and
New->Shortcut

then browse your computer for excel (usually "c:\program files\Microsoft
Office\Office\excel.exe" WITH the quotes) and add " /e" WITHOUT the quotes
and WITH a space before the /e

click next, enter a nice name (like My Microsoft Excel)

click finish

HTH.
