When doing a spelling check Word will miss the following...
The ones he could find f the green color, he would only eat one.

The "o" in of above checks "ok" with word spell check. Any advice? Thanks!

What I think he means is that the single letter 'f' which should have been
'of' doesn't flag as a spelling error.

Sorry....
I meant to say the "f" all by itselft checks Ok in spell check. The word
should actually be OF not just F. Thanks!

Single letters are never marked as mistakes because they are often used in
numbering systems or to refer to letters as letters.

Ya know, that is kinda stupid behavior. Considering Word half the time does
pretend to know when numbering is happening, it should be smart enough to
exclude those instances, and to demand quotations around a single letter,
which I think is correct anyhow? "F". Well, not always. But still better
to flag false errors than skip them.

There should at least be a setting for it.

Putting quotes around the letter wouldn't be any different from putting
quotes around a word with regard to whether the letter was "misspelled." As
for numbering, lists numbered with a, b, c are not always created using the
Numbering feature; they may be created manually. And regardless of what
punctuation is used with the number (periods, parentheses, etc.), the same
argument applies: punctuation has no effect on "spelling."

Also, FWIW, letters used as words are properly italicized, not quoted.
