Hi =?Utf-8?B?VGltZWx5?=,
I cannot use my spellchecker as the spellchecker options is gone from my
toolbar and under options it is greyed out.
Normally, this would indicate that the proofing tools haven't been
installed. Go to the Control Panel/Add Remove Software and choose Office
2000. Choose the option to CHANGE the current installation; you'll need to
insert the CD.
Now, drill down through the component trees that have to do with Office
tools and such (not Word, or Excel, or any specific application) until you
find the proofing tools. Mark them to be installed.
(I can't remember whether Office 2000 uses the old checkboxes, or the newer
installation interface. If it's not checkboxes, right-click and select "Run
from my computer").
