Hi Everyone,

I've been seeing a problem where the Vista mail program does not recognize
mis-spelled words when I do a spell check. It simply tells me, "The spelling
check is Complete".

This problem does not happen all the time. Has anyone else seen this?

Thanks

Yes it happens often, the best way to spell check is to select the text to
be checked and then hit F7

Interesting. Never had that happen yet. I really like this spell checker.

So, this is a known bug then? I Googled it but found nothing.

All I said was it happens - for me - as it did in OE6.
As with you, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, so I use the work
around.

This works in Vista also, give it a try.

Hi Linda,

Usually, the problem you are relating to happens when you reply using the
sender email.
In order to have The spelling check working, simply overlight your text you
want to be checked and then press The spell check button. And it will check
your spelling

Sorry - I just sent a blank post. I got Vista yesterday and I can't get the
email spellcheck & auto-editor to do anything. My old XP had an excellent
email/Word editor and I'm spoiled never capitalizing first words in
sentences, I's, etc. I downloaded the windows live mail and try it. Thanks

I am trying to set up and email and this is what happens? I have read all my
help lists with no help. Can somebody please help me?

Windows Mail comes with the default language for spelling checks partly
set to English, but not enough to work. To correct this, click on Tools,
then Options, then Spelling, then the triangle to the right of English, then
some other language, then Apply, then the triangle again, then English,
then Apply again, then OK.
