Spell checker in XP

I am having problems with Spell checker in outlook express 6 I can not seam
to open it to check spellings from the tools menu or via F7 key. Any
suggesings.

Spellcheck requires an Office application to be present (note that vanilla
Works does *NOT* qualify, it must be the Works Suite as that contains Word).
If you do not have Word, or another Office application installed then you
must purchase one and install it. However, there are free/shareware applets
available, but I've not used any so I cannot vouch for their
efficatiousness.
