spell checker does not underline?

Hi,
Re MS WORD 2007:
I cannot get the spell checker to underline misspelled words in the red
line. What have I done wrong? It is switched on in the Options. I have gone
through this several times. On my other computer it works fine?? Can anyone
help me please?
 
Make sure you have the right language selected and "Do not check spelling or
grammar" unchecked. See

I seelcted the wrong language when setting up Vista. This language appears in
the MS Word 2007 status bar. The problem seems to be related to this. I
cannot tell Vista to use another language. Word keeps using this default. Any
suggestions are welcome.
