I compose, for various reasons, emails using outlook 2003
in HTML format. I have selected the box that should stop
outlook from spellchecking text in original messages when
replying or forwarding. However, outlook continues to
spell check the original message. Am I missing something?

if you use > or other prefix the original will be spell checked.
