Spell check not catching error

We use Outlook 2000 on the network at my office. I have the option selected to spell check every message before sending. I recently learned that "website" is incorrect and should be spelled "Web site." The spell checker doesn't recognize this as an error. I checked my custom dictionary, and "website" is not in there. Why doesn't Outlook recognize this error? Is there anything I can do so that it will?

if you want website to be marked as incorrect, you'll need to use an
exclusion dictionary.

Do a Google search on "web site" (with quotes) and it will correct you.
Anyway, see Diane's answer to make an exclusion or use AutoCorrect to have
website autocorrect web site

Then is it also correct to now call it the world wide web? I thought it
was still considered a proper noun. :-)

My company has a style guide, and it is still preferred to render it "Web
site." Is there any option for having Outlook flag it? Thank you for your
help!

Thank you, Diane. This article appears to refer to Word - do the same techniques also apply to Outlook? I have found an acceptable solution for Word (that also fixed Excel and PowerPoint, but didn't carry over to Outlook). We are specifically looking for a fix for Outlook. Thank you.

It should work with all office programs as they all use the same spell check
engine and custom dictionary. It's been a few years since I used an
exclusion dictionary though, so your best bet is to test it and see.
