I did a reformat and clean install, everything fine except I have no spell
checker anymore in Outlook Expree. The button is there but greyed out.

Any clues ?
Am I in the correct forum?

Thanks John

John;
Outlook Express does not have a spellcheck, instead it relies on the spell
check of another program such as Microsoft Word.

Hi John,

OE does not have spell-checking capabilities on it's own. Here are your options:

Getting spellcheck to work in Outlook Express XP:

|MG| Free Download - Spell Checker for OE 2.1:

( I use this one, works a treat )

Outlook Express has never had spell-checking capabilities of its
own. Instead, it relies upon the presence of other Microsoft
applications, such as the Office Suite, Word, or the Works _Suite_
(which includes Word, not the regular Works). There are also some
3rd-party shareware/freeware solutions available at any of the many
shareware sites on the Internet Spell Magic seems well thought-of,
though I haven't tried it myself:
