SPELL CHECK DOESN'T WORK IN POWERPOINT; I CHECKED LANGUAGE AS ENG.

In PowerPoint, the spell checker doesn't work; I've marked the language as
English (US) and set it as default. the program doesn't check the errors in
slides. I know it won't check embedded objects, charts, etc. but it doesn't
check anything in the presentation.
 
Hi Ruth,

What version of PowerPoint? Have you tried Detect and repair from the help
menu?

Also, do you have a custom dictionary installed? It might be in:

C:\Documents and Settings\MyUserName\Application Data\Microsoft\CUSTOM.DIC
