Does anyone know any good tips for speeding up the login and logoff process
for XP PCs in a domain. For instance; removing apps from registry run key
or startup folder etc. It appears XP is significantly slower to logoff than
2000 pro for some reason because it stalls at "disconnecting network
connections" for several seconds. We are trying to minimize login/logoff
times on busy kiosk PCs and are hoping we can speed things up by ripping out
a lot of unnecesary Windows stuff.
Thanks,
Jim

Usually "log-off" slowness in xp deals with 3rd party software, expecially
anti-
virus.For faster "log-in" and quicker xp starts,download microsoft Boot_Vis
try search at google.com for 3rd party. Also,in system
properties,advanced,start
up/recovery,in the scroll bar (OS),the last few words should be- fast detect
you'll notice with SP2 installed this gets altered, edit and delete new
