I am in a statistics class and need some a symbol I have
not been able to find. I would type it here, but that is
the problem. It is the symbol for a sample average and is
an x with a bar over it. Does anyone know how to make this
symbol appear? It is in all the textbooks, so I know it
can be done! Thanks!

Hi Russell,
Also known as x-bar.
You can build a x-bar symbol or most any other using MS Equation Editor.
It comes with Office/Excel.
Do insert>object>Microsoft Equation or run from start>run. (C:\Program
Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Equation\EQNEDT32.EXE)
Make the symbol you want, copy & paste into Excel.
