If your sound card software/drivers do not have the option, then you may
have to find a hardware solution.
 
Easiest way: just swap the speakers physically on the desk - move the R.H.
one to the left side and the L.H. one to the right side?

Otherwise, through the software for your sound card, there might be a way to
reconfigure the settings, but possibly not through XP itself specifically.
