Hello. I recently had my computer upgraded from the
ground up and had to completely reinstall Windows XP.
Well, my speakers weren't plugged in at the time. When I
did plug them in later, they wouldn't work. I tried to
find a way to install them, but when I did, it came up as
code10. I don't know what to do. Please help me.

Hi,

Check if you have connected the speakers in proper socket.
Check if the device drivers are installed properly for sound card.
You can check this in control panel go to Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices
-> select sounds and audio devices -> select Audio -> check if sound
playback default device is enabled.

I am happy to help you. Do let me know your progress on this issue.

Blonde, aren't you? This has nothing whatsoever to do with your speakers,
as speakers don't require installation. What do you plug your speakers into?
What is it in your computer that generates the sound?

No, I'm not a blonde. And yes, I know for a fact I have
them connected correctly and that the speakers themselves
work. They just won't play anything. And yes, I checked
the volume and have them turned on.

Don't pay any attention to this vermin who can't even find acceptance in the
streetwalking business.

Here is a post made not long ago describing who this thing really is:

She has gone by these names in the past:

Magrat
Black Aliss
Cassandra
Amethyst
Epona

(From SS http://makeashorterlink.com/?M2CF51B38)

""But, she is a stupid fat bitch called Sarah Balfour, who lives in Gerrards
Cross, Bucks, UK.

She is a quite a joke amongst people that know her. I know people that do.
I've even seen her. She is as ugly as her usenet personality portrays.

Her sister's think that she is a hopeless loser. Her parent's are worried
about what they should do about her.

She wanted to be a teacher, but she is far too stupid to each anybody
anything. She has no qualifications, and she does not have a job. Her
father buys her her computer equipment.

She has LOTS of pirated software. She plays around with professional
applications, with no useful output, and she plays games like The Sims,
where she can play out her fantasies of having some sort of control of other
people. Unfortunately for her, she will never be the old spinster grim
faced school deputy that she dreams of.""

She also once made a claim that a P4 MOBO cannot support DDR type RAM

http://groups.google.com/[email protected]

"P4 motherboards, AFAIK, don't take DDR, so if you have a P4, you can be
pretty sure you can rule it out as an option"

Just ignore her!

.

I checked in there and it doesn't have anything other
then modem #0 Line Playback. It doesn't show any other
device. I doubt my device drivers are installed properly
for sound card. Any other sugguestions?

Hi,

Assuming that the speakers are working fine.
Check if Sound card drivers are properly loaded. You may check for the any
IRQ clashes in the device manager. Check if you have any IRQ clash, resolve
if any clash is found. it may happen if you have added any new hardware to
your system.

Reinstall sound card drivers if required.

I am happy to help you. Do let me know your progress on this issue.
