Sound worked before the reinstallation, correct? Then it has some sound
device. It can be either a separate sound card, or integrated as chip(s) on
the motherboard.

The drivers should be on a CD that came with the computer. As should
drivers for the motherboard chipset, and video. All these need to be
installed.

If you don't have the CD go to the sound card manufacturer's web site, if
it's a retail card, and download the latest version. If this is an OEM
computer from a large OEM like Dell or HP, go to their tech support web site
and download the drivers. If it's a device on the motherboard, go to the
motherboard manufacturer's web site for the drivers. Check the
documentation that came with the computer.

How do I find out what my soundcard manufacturer's website or name. I can't
seem to find it. Would it be the company my speakers are?

What computer do you have? Did you look a the documentation? One option is
to open the case and look. Another option is call the tech support for the
computer vendor, or check their tech support site for the drivers.
