Speakers cut in and out

After browsing the internet for a short amount of time, my Windows Media Player will not play any sound. My speakers will not play any sound, although they are still on and installed correctly. The speakers will not play any sound until I log off and on again, in which the shut down music will play correctly. Is there anything I can do?

It sounds like you WMP plugin is trying to "take control" of your audio
driver. You did not mention what you are using for sound.

I'd uninstall then re-install your audio driver and see what happens. It's
too hald to say w/o knowing more about your configuraion.
