speaker volume

I just bought a new sytem. I did install the speaker set,
that i had with my former computer system.
The problem is that i Seem not to get enough volume,
although I had set volume settings all the way.I need
assistance, a hint.
When I had speakers installed on the older pc, I had
enough volume. Thanx

Maybe the amp part of your soundcard isn't as powerful as your previous one
? Have you turned up the volume sliders in the systray AND WMP ?
