span cd's

Still looking for a way to copy or back up large files that
will allow (or prompt) for spanning cd's.

Nero or EasyCD Creator provide a way to span cd's.
I use EasyCD Creator, and it most definitely will span as many cd's as
needed.
DVD's are so much easier to use for this purpose.

Use WinZIP or other archival software and have it create a spanned ZIP or other archival
formal with each file no larger that the size of a CD (700MB or less). Then create the CDs.
One file per CD.

Or you can get a full-blown backup application. a "real" software backup application will
span CDROMs or any media plus the data will be compressed. I use an older software, VERITAS
Backup Exec Desktop, Version 4.61, and span DVD discs.
