spam messages when connected to the internet... im sure its been posted before!

I think we all no the messages i mean. the ones that
actaully come in a microsoft standard blue bar window and
are labled "messenger service". They always come up when
i connect to the internet. If i start useing the
microsoft built in firewall then this prevents them. It
also stops me from useing programs, direct user download
programs such as direct connect and possibly kazza.

So whats the deal with this?

some are porn my mums getting rather upset!
