We use Office 2000. On Windows XP, with formatting marks on, the "space" formatting mar
is not centered in the 'space' between the two characters. This is making it pretty hard to edi
as sometimes it is sitting among the quotation mark, or 'attached' to a capital S, etc

Thoughts appreciated

that is one about which complaints are often made. There's not much you can
do about it except change font temporarily, increase the zoom, etc.
