SP4 caused problems saving to offline folder

Before SP4 users were able to save files to the offline
folder without problems.
After SP4 it is no longer possible to save powerpoint 2002
files to offline folders. Error message says that file
already excists. (seems like it is trying to save the file
twice)
It create a "saved" file however that file cannot be
opened by Powerpoint 2002.
All other office apps seem to save fine to offline folder.
Any one else noticed this?

I upgraded a number of Toshiba 2410 PCs to SP4 to try to
fix startup issues and they began to report Word
documents saved on offline folders going corrupt.

Not exactly the same issue, but points to a possible
problem wiht SP4 and offline folders I think.
