I am having trouble with system hangs. I try to close and the system simply
will not close. I end up having to push the restart button. Any suggestions?

This all started when you installed SP3, eh? Well it sounds like one of
your running programs (especially those in system tray and running in
the background) doesn't like SP3. Which isn't all that uncommon. I
haven't made MS own EWF compatible with SP3 yet.

So you have a number of options.

1) Uninstall SP3

2a) Find out which program is running with disabling them with something
like MSCONFIG.

2b) Could be a video driver or other driver too. The video driver has a
troubleshooting slider. Slide that the other way and see if the problem
disappears.
