SP3 has caused all software that integrates with my system
to prompt me with a message stating "A program is
attempting to access Outlook, if this is expected check
allow acces and then select a time"

Has anyone found a way to get around this for programs
that are supposed to have access to outlook, such as
HotSync, non-MS CRM tools, and SPAM blocking tools?

You could use Express ClickYes (Google for it) although it presents a
security risk when using it. Or you could wait for the vendors of those
programs to update them to not cause the prompts. Many have already.

I have your solution if you are on Windows 2000. Let me
know.

Also under Tools ->Options -> Mail Format, uncheck Use MS
Word to edit e-mail messages. This is the only way I
found to get rid of it.

Hope that helps.

If WordMail is the problem it's going to be an addin in Word that is causing
the problem. Most often it seems to be an Adobe PDF addin. If you disable
that using Word should be OK.
