Hi

Can anybody tell me how to keep on receiving the xp automatic updates
without install SP2 ?
Almost everybody I know had software problems, some serious ones after SP2
installation, and I don't think I need it right now. So, how can I manage to
do that ?
Thankx
Dulce

Almost everyone you know?? 1 or 2 maybe? Of more than 60,000,000 home
computers just in the U.S. just how many do you think had a problem?

no problems 40%
small problems 24%
big problems, but solvable 8%
big problems, could not use/install 12%
had to rebuild system 12%

-----------------------------------------

* Percentage of PC World survey respondents who installed SP2: 62%
* Percentage of those respondents who had no problems: 74%
* Percentage who reported mild problems: 10.3%
* Moderate problems: 9%
* Severe problems: 4%
* Most common problem: Malfunctioning software
* Favorite new feature in SP2: Pop-up blocking
* Least favorite feature: New security features that conflict with
third-party security software

Probably made it up, since his fixyourwindows web site is filled with made
up ideas that make no sense.

If you can't follow the links that were already provided to the data then
you have much bigger problems to deal with.

Heck, there were valid issues with Windows even before SP 2. Most of the SP
2-related problems I have seen in this newsgroup were self-inflicted or
avoidable.

His data surely doesn't match that of PCWorld.
