SP2

Is it safe now to install SP2? A while ago I read horror stories about it. I
just got my computer to behave, and I do not want it acting crazy, also I am
not a computer genius. Thanks for your help.

like everything "new" there are things that you may not appreciate until you
get to know a little more about why it does what it does. No one is a
computer "genius" which is why we are here in these groups for answers.
Getting back to your question: you should go ahead and update to SP2. You'll
find that the update is mainly about internet "security". What you may not
appreciate is the fact that you cannot re-install XP without removing this
update first. That's because your XP/CD will not simply replace msssing files
because you now have "newer'' file installed. This can be frustrating but
it's still worth getting. No, it will not make your computer crazy; just
safer.
 
It its not SAFE at all, there are loads of games that do not work correct
with SP2. where on earth did you get that information from, is it because it
works on your computer ok? well it still does not work correctly on lots of
other peoples computers, you will have to wait Months before all the bugs
are fixed just like with the last SP1 release.

I would not recommend it. My computer has been doing all sorts of weird
things since I installed it.
