After I installed winxp SP2, I can't view soma web archive presentation
(*.mht).
Can I do anything?

Thanks
Luigi

I have researched this a bit and found that it can be caused by a third party plug-in in Internet Explorer.

The workarounds are to rename the *.mht file to a *.eml file.

Outlook Express opens eml files and IE opens mht files.

You should be able to at least view your mht files if you rename them to the eml extension.

Alternatively, I have read that an uninstall of SP2 allows the mht functionality to return to IE.

Is this what causes IE6 to crash and generate an error report?
I have installed SP2 and unstalled it twice. When it's in, IE6 craches at
some web sites. When it is out or down to SP1, I have no problem and no
craches at any sites. It's a great nuisance.
I will not install SP2 again until I think they fixed it..
I think they try to send dynamic patches after a couple of crashes because
the site will seem to work ok on the third try sometimes. Sometimes not. The
next day the problem starts all over again.
