SP2 upgrade

I thought I had a trouble-free XP SP2 install, but now on
every retart Windows goes into check disk. It finds no
problems but this continues to happen. Start up and shut
down also appear to be much longer. Any ideas?

Perhaps one of the points in that list applies to your case.
