Hi,
I've Genuine Windows XP Pro and have tried to install SP2 update since
Microsoft is stopping SP1 support next month. The problem is when I
update it, my screen display changes to 640x480 and no matter how
I try to change the display, I'm unable to because the colour quality
is lowest at 4bit and that is the only one available. If I remove the SP2
update, I get colour quality at medium(16bit) or highest (32bit) and
I can have 1280x1024 display. I've the following set up:
Compaq Evo D310 PC, LCD display LG Flatron L1510S.
Can anyone help? I'm based in a big bush near Perth in Australia.
TIA
Hopping Roo

Install SP2 then go to device manager and "roll back" the driver for the
display or reinstall the display driver.

When you install SP2 it set your display to standard VGA. You will need to
download the lasts drivers for you card and reinstall it
