I have installed sp2 in my machine runs windows xp home edition, now I have
problem of not starting windows and have blue error screen and start again
and so on, even cant log by safe mode..
I don't have windows CD...I tried my friend's xp pro CD ofcourse diffrent
than mine which is home edition and tried to do repairing but it asking
administration password and I didnt set any but dosen't axccept without
typying password..

so I tried to log in by windows start up manger floppy of my windows Me and
I get to dos, so what I want to know is: can I remove sp2 from dos?

I have my work files in the PC and I don't wanna lose, beside the windows
edition I have it came with the PC from company and I don't have CD,and I
have to buy one if I want to reinstall, right?
PLZ help me!

1. You need the XP CD. using your "friends" XP Pro on XP Home is not
recommended.

2. You CAN uninstall SP2 from the Recovery Console, but you need the admin
password. if you didn't set an admin password, just press "Enter" when it
asks for the password (as in, it's a blank password. it says that on the
screen!)

Invest in one then. Everyone should have a CD of the OS they are using.

Have read on the link below. If your friends XP version was the same version
[explained in the link] , you can use it to do a repair install. It may not
completely fix our all your problems, but it will allow you to access your
important data so you can backup. You must use your own product key.
