sp2 - unable to read from or write to database...

trying to install sp2 but keep getting subject error
message

in event viewer:

services (612) Unable to read the header of logfile
C:\WINDOWS\Security\edb00001.log. Error -530.

any suggestions please

Hi

Deleting or renaming the .log files in the folder
%windir%\Security\ (and maybe in %windir%\System32\CatRoot2\
as well) should solve the problem.

(%windir% is typically C:\Windows)

I have created a batch file that does exactly this (and some
additional steps as well).
