SP2 sabotage

It seems as though an awful lot of users are experiencing boot up
problems after install Service Pack 2, which was supposed to cure all ills.
Instead it is causing more headaches, than is necessary.
I too could not get off of the Black Windows page except in the Safe Mode
or using the Last Successful mode, But after shutting down I would
experience these problems all over again.
I finally had to uninstall Service Pack 2 to get my computer working
correctly again.
Why is this? Did Microsoft rush to release this Service Pack without
regard to the problems it is causing a great many users?

"It seems as though an awful lot of users are experiencing boot up problems

Do you have any statistics to back this up?

"...which was supposed to cure all ills."
Completely incorrect. While SP 2 did correct a number of specifically
identified problems, its main purpose was to harden security on a Windows
PC.

Jack;
SP-2 was not designed to "cure all ills".
In fact if there are problems before whether known or unknown, there
is a fair chance they will be known after the update.
It is important your computer not have any problems known or unknown
before installing SP-2:

Why is it that people who don't know what they are doing ALWAYS blame
Microsoft when something goes wrong?

If you read what the OP wrote you will see that he was not blaming but
asking a question.

And why is it that people always blame the user when something goes
wrong - see, just as silly!

Ok Ted the statistics are look at all the B.S. I repeat
Bull Sh*t problems with this asinine fix from Microsoft
who are willing to help you fix youre pc for 35 bucks. My
problem I guess was that my security was already
protected.Thats what I paid my 65 bucks a year for and of
course they want to charge me 29 bucks also for helping
me.Ive tried this site 3 times with no help,I am unable
to log in on my internet security/anti virus and I am
unable to Add/Remove my Int.Sec./Anti/Virus to Restore to
misconfig ect.ect. or to even do any and more in Safe
mode.Calling my pc manufacture is also a joke they do not
have a clue.I also have a paid version/up to date spyware
that ran fine for over a year until the automatic update
from M/soft.My last option is to run the recovery disc.So
ya still think SP2 not to blame?Michael Hoffner
