sp2 & quicktime

I have sp2 on my inspiron 5150 and when I tried to use quicktime (and adobe
premiere), it the error message "quicktime streaming authoring filed to load
because the versions of quicktime streaming and quicktime streaming authoring
do not match" This just started once i got sp2, I suspect, its sp2 please
help!

You tried reinstalling Q.T. ?
 
Two things can be tried

a) uninstall/reinstall quick time (This works for ACrobat reader)
b) verify on adobe site if they have any updates/upgrades/patches for
Quicktime for SP2?
 
It's much better to use Quick Time Alternative, it does not load unnecessary
Quicktime bloatware on system startup.
