sp2 problems

I have a dell lattitude 600, i installed sp 2, now everything is running
slow. start up and shut down can take up to 10 minutes each, and the
programms can take from 2 mins to 5 mins to run. I have unistalled the pack,
and restored the changes, but to no evail. any help very much welcomed.
please.

Personally I would start here
http://www.blackviper.com/WinXP/service411.htm and check what services are
running on your system that you can disable. That can really speed things
up at least it did for me. Then I would check your startup folders do a
chkdisk and defrag, and then if the problem is still going on let us know

Check for errors and defragment hard drive:

If it doesn’t help, remove SP2 and see
