I pushed SP2 using a GPO. Pcs show it being installed at the startup for 45
minutes.

It shows under ADD/REMOVE that it's installed but under My Computer
properties it shows SP1 and there is no Firewall Settings in the control
panel?

Any thoughts?

Thanks in adv.

yes I restarted numerous times and at the startup it shows installing for
fews seconds and dissapears. This is the error in the Application Log:

The install of application SP2 failed. The isntallation source for this
product is not available. verify that the source exists and that you can
access it.

The source does exist and everyone has FULL Access to it and all DNS
settings are in place.

Thanks.

Okay - now the story seems to have changed. Earlier you said it seemed to
install for 45 minutes (which would probably be about right), now you're
saying a few seconds ... How, exactly, are you trying to install it?

Richard:

Installing via a GPO on the Computers sitting in a OU using the UNC path to
the shared folder.

2 PC's showed for 45 minutes and they never installed SP2 though they show
it in the ADD/Remove but this other one show it installing for 10 seconds at
the startup and then vanishes.

Any thoughts
