SP2 + Norton Virus Checker=crash?

Ever since I installed SP2 my Norton Virus Checker (2002)
crashes the system.

Why is this happening and what can I do?

Easy, uninstall everything "Norton" and get yourself a decent program, many,
like AVG, www.grisoft.com, are free.

Steve,

NAV 2002 is NOT supporting XP SP2. Go to Symantec's forums and you will see
that you need the 2004 version AND a patch to work properly with SP2.

I will join others in stating that there are better alternatives than Norton
products! Take a look at Computer Associates eTrust www.ca.com or some
others that may not be as "popular" (well advertised) but do the job with
less intrusion and similar cost (although most of the good ones don't give
rebates).

I cannot even get my 2004 to install now that SP2 is on
my computer. Really Norton and Mcaffe products suck.
trend micro has a free scan.
