Sp2 Nightmare

After Installing Service Pack 2 on mi dads laptop, it stuffed things u
completely. We couldnt uninstall it, and system restore isnt working.

Our only alternative is to reinstall windows, but the laptop compan
ddnt supply us wif a cd. does ne1 know how 2 install it wifout using
cd rom?

I am assuming english is not your first language. Hopefully my answer will
be clear, none the less.

The laptop company is required to give you a means to bring the laptop back
to the state it was in when you acquired it from them and as your invoice
tells you it should be. This can be accomplished (by them) in many ways.
Restoration CDs, Restoration Partitions, images on the system itself that
you were supposed to make CDs from when you got the computer home, actual
Windows XP CD and Application CDs, and a plethora of other ways.

You should, at this point, contact them and see how you are supposed to
restore your laptop to a working state.
