SP2 Installation head aches

Installed SP2 on 10 systems with SUS and experienced the following:
1. PC's sharing Printers still show the printer as shared but they are
inaccessible. Resharing does not solve the problem. Network attached
printers still work.
2. My environment is pretty tight (locked down and scanned regularly). The
windows Firewall which is suppose to be on by default is not and when
manually started it immediately stops.

Other items, we can not use P2P so the Messenger directory permissions were
set for Deny all access. I removed the Deny prior to installation to avoid
numerous prompts about file installation to that directory. After I
finished pushing the software I zero out the exe files in that directory
rather than setting permissions again. So when SP3 or SP2a arrives I can
just install.

Will delay installation on the remaining systems until I can solve the
printer and firewall issue.

Windows firewall, most likely.

It may not 'show' as active until ALL of your network adapters are
firewalled (firewire included). Also, if you are locked down (other
hardware/software firewalls and AV progs) just go ahead and disable the
windows firewalls all together. I currently run my system with no
Windows/software firewall -OR- AV software since I rely on my Motorola
SBG1000 for NAT and SPI, and throw in a little common sense when downloading
files. Of course I don't recommend this setup in a multi-computer business
environment but it works for me 8-).
