SP2 IE User Account problem

After an sp2 upgrade on my homeXP system, Internet explorer does not work on
some of the user accounts. When the IE icon is clicked there is a small
delay, then the "IE has to shut down, sorry for the inconvenince" icon pops
up before a browser window opens. This happens every time on the two accounts
that were "limited" accounts when the upgrade was made - but IE works
flawlessly on my account (admin setting). Changing the other accounts to
admin status didn't help - whatever was installed/changed in the SP2
"upgrade" is still not right.
Suggestions?

This may help:
Control Panel -> Network/Internet -> Internet Options -> Advanced.
Under Browsing uncheck "enable third party extensions".
This needs to be done with all user accounts.

If this does help, you may need to look at disabling some Add-Ons. Since it
only works as an administrator, I'm leaning at a File Permissions problem.
