Since SP2 was installed, I cannot click on anything from my AOL Welcome
screen without getting disconnected immediately. Internet Explorer is acting
the same way. Microsoft describes this problem and says they have a "hotfix"
for it, but when I put in the system information they require, they refer me
to HP? What's going on??

Couple of questions here... to obtain a Hotfix, you must TELEPHONE Microsoft
and speak to a Customer Support Person. Have you done this?

Is the PC in question a HP/Compaq one? If so, it's possible that only
HP/Compaq have the fix because the problem only affects that manufacturer's
units. Therefore there would be no need for Microsoft to supply to fix, it
would be HP's responsibility.

Microsoft is saying that they are the ones with the Hotfix because of the SP2
they just installed for Windows XP. I am assuming they are responsible to
fix the problem. However, I have not called them because they refered me to
HP instead. I will go ahead and call to see if they can finally resolve
this. I have contacted HP and they are unaware of the problem.

Just installed? SP2 was released last year! You appear to be running 12
months or so behind the current updates leaving your PC(s) very vulnerable.
