Hi. I have a XP ENG with SP2 betta (v.1204). Now, when I want to install SP2
(WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe ) - the XP writes me, that I should deinstall
SP2 betta, but in add/remove department I didn't find possibility to remove
SP2 betta. What shall I do? Many thanks for answers.

Garry;
Click the box at the top "Show updates"
Otherwise a Clean Installation may be necessary.

Hi

In Add/Remove Programs, make sure that 'Show Updates' is enabled.

Look at the top of the "Add or Remove Programs" page. It is a little check
box just to the right of center.

JAX

I have only 4 icons in left side:
1. Change or Remove Programs
2. Add new Programs
3. Add/remove Windows Components
4. Set Programs Accsess and Defaults

In top I have only "Sort by" - check box.

Hi Garry,

You must have been short-changed somewhere along the line. I have two
versions of XP and the box is on both of them. I don't know what to tell
you.

JAX

I have the same as Garry- never had or seen any such check
box in add/remove programmes.

I use classic view for windows, that may possibly be the difference. You
might try switching, to see.

LOL, JAX

JAX,

nope, can't be it. I also use classic view, but I do see the
checkbox.

Version 1204 is very old in terms of SP-2.
That feature may not have even been available.

Of course if 1204 or any other version for that matter was
slipstreamed, there will not be an uninstall option.

If you can not uninstall, you may be forced to reinstall as was
understood when you installed the Beta.
