If your computer is not connected to the Internet why do you feel the need
for the "extra security" of SP2?

I hope to get a new DSL modem in the near future. Or maybe
I can get back my new computer from my EX WIFE in the
final divorce decree.

I just got a new computer for my wife--best trade I ever
made.

Well Testy (must be short for Tes-tee-cal),I have 75
computers at my buisness networked together,No modem to
the internet!I would like the features of SP2,so I can
keep my systems safe from inside attacks. I.E.:someone on
the shipping docks accessing office computers(and oh yes
it's been done before). So before you stick your foot in
you mouth, think first, then type!Just went over some of
your other reply's,golly you are an IDIOT!Do you have a
life? You have to reply with stupid remarks?Grow up!

Yes that was a good catch Ted.Maybe you should think also
before typing!Maybe I should just hook my computers up to
the internet so I can be attacked from the outside
also.My sales computers are hooked to the
internet,shipping/recieving/storage/innner office are
networked together-no modem-would like to put SP2 to all
of them so dock work wont be accessing the payroll
records. It's been done before. So maybe you should get a
life and do something else with your time than hang out
bashing peoples Q's!Your an IDIOT just like Testy!Good
thing Will was nice enough to respond.I used my office
computer to access, and order the disks.Thank you for
nothing!

Thanks! There are some decent people.Thank you.

Hi

You can order an SP2 CD:

http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/protect/cd/confi rm.aspx

or you can ask someone to download the file for you and then burn it to a
CD.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx? FamilyId=049C9DBE-3B8E-4F30-8245-
9E368D3CDB5A&displaylang=en

You will a modem to get online for the Windows Update version as well.

You can get a free copy on CD by ordering it from
Microsoft. You can find it on the page where you "install
Windows XP Service Pack. I can't get SP2 to work
correctly by downloading it from Windows Update. My
computer runs very slow after I uninstalled it because of
numerous problems.
