SP2: explorer.exe tries to contact ctrl.verisign.com on bootup

Hi, all,<p>

After installing SP2, explorer.exe tries to contact ctrl.verisign.com on
after boot-up every time. My firewall (sygate) notifies me of it. I haven't
allowed the contact because I have no clue as to why it's doing it.<p>

Can anyone explain this behavior?<p>
