SP2 Error during installation

Hello,

I get this error during XP SP2 installation:

Manifest Parse Error : An invalid character was found in
text content.

After which, the installer aborts the install and asks me
to reboot.

Any ideas? Thoughts? What the heck does this mean.

Hi

Are you installing SP2 for an existing WinXP Os installation?

If so, are you using Windows Update (express install) or the full
SP2 installation file (266 MB)?
