SP2 doesn't see Norton Antivirus 2002

SP2 says my computer is at risk. My virus status is unknown. I can tell
it "I have an antivirus program that I'll monitor myself."

But the enabled virus checker on this computer is from Norton Utilities
2002, and it is current.

My other computer had SP2 for a couple of hours, before I got rid of it so I
could have video drivers, and it's Norton Utilities 2003 worked.

I'd rather have SP2 check my security and let me know - Nortons IS a major
brand. Why doesn't it see it?

(I'm wondering if it is a matter of which starts first)

Norton is not updating 2002. You gotta get 2004. Ain't it a bitch?

That happened with my other computer when I couldn't reinstall Windows 2002
after upgrading my motherboard and having problems.

What a bitch. I couldn't keep my other computer's SP2 because my video
card's drivers don't work. I forgot to check my Phillips USB video card,
but have been going through the long process of finding out from ATI whether
there's a solution for my video card.

ATI has just put up new drivers for their video cards.

The Security Center report depends on a message from the AV program to
say 'All Present and correct'. Norton have updated 2004 via Live Update
for this, were considering doing it for 2003, and say they will not for
earlier versions than that. It does not mean the AV is not working,
just that it is keeping quiet
